With a hair extension to fantastically long hair
Healthy, full hair seems far away for many women and almost impossible for many. Because your own long hair requires intensive care and patience. With extensions, true hair dreams can be fulfilled without a long wait! Within 2 hours we conjure up your desired hairstyle up to a length of 70 cm. Especially for customers with thin and damaged hair, extensions are the best method to achieve more fullness and a new length! We advise you free of charge and without obligation.
What do I have to consider before a hair extension?
Before you decide on an appointment at Wunderhaar, you should already deal with the topic. It is important that your own hair length is at least 12 cm , otherwise we can not use extensions. Especially customers with a slightly outgrown bob often want long hair again quickly, but their own hair is still much too short, especially in the neck area. We already point this out here, as we have already had to send some customers back home. Please inform us of possible illnesses (hair loss, medication, etc.) before training. We will discuss everything else at a free consultation appointment or directly before the incorporation of the extensions!
Which method is the best hair extension?
A question we often get asked in the studio. Each method of hair extension has its advantages and disadvantages. Each customer has different requirements in terms of her own hair and also has her own requirements in terms of care in everyday life for your future extensions – so much in advance. Therefore, it is difficult to say – which method is THE best for each customer. However, we can say from experience that the following methods are the most popular hair extensions:
- Bonding Extensions – almost invisible single strands
- Tape Extensions – Hairpieces for gluing
- Microring Extensions – Single strands used without heat
How many strands do you need for a hair extension?
Depending on the density of your own hair and the desired hair length, you need between 125 and 150 extensions for a hair extension. If you have very short hair and want a length of 60 cm or more, then up to 175 strands are needed. We can determine the exact amount of strands in a consultation. Especially in the case of compactions, many customers have concerns that you can see that they have helped with certain parts. But that doesn’t have to be the case! Especially with bonding extensions or tape extensions, hair thickeners can be used almost invisibly . We only use Indian hair, which is hardly distinguishable from European hair in terms of structure. The hair is soft, cuddly and can be straightened, blow-dried and styled like our own hair. Even in everyday life, the strands or individual hairpieces are easy to care for – after your compaction in our studio, you will receive detailed care instructions for at home!
Hairpieces or single strands – what is best for my thickening?
There are different ways to use hair thickening. Which method is the best also depends on the texture of your own hair. For very fine, light hair, tape extensions are better in many cases, as the junction is very flat and still beautiful volume can be generated. If you have thicker hair, you can also use bondings – better still flat bondings – for your hair thickening. Here, individual strands are incorporated and the bonding is formed very flat, so that the connection is almost invisible. We have attached different attachment variants to hairdressers’ heads – so you can get an idea of the different methods.
How many strands do you need for hair thickening?
Depending on your own hair fullness you need approx. 50 to max. 75 strands. It is important here that you stay on your own hair length with a hair thickening, there is only fullness. If you want to gain additional length, you need more strands and it is then a hair extension – because volume is always added to a hair extension .
